WHSD Foundation Calendar
We are in the process of merging the WHSD Foundation calendar with the WHAF calendar. We will have foundation programming and initiatives aligned with dates coming soon! Below are a few events that have already taken place in 2009.
 
May 16, 2009: The Alumni Cabaret
7:30 p.m. at Braddock Carnegie Library Music Hall. Alumni of WHHS award-winning musicals once again will take to the stage. The performance will be followed by a reception at the WHAF All-District Art Show across the street. All proceeds from this event will held fund WHAF activities that benefit students of the Woodland Hills School District. Tickets are required ($10, $15 at the door).
 
May 8-17, 2009: WHAF's All-District Art 2009
Opens Friday, May 8 at The Church, 416 Library St., Braddock. The show will be held from May 8 to May 17. It will be open to the public Friday (May 8) from 5 to 8 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday (May 9 and 10) from 1 to 4 p.m.; Thursday and Friday (May 14 and 15) from 5 to 8 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday (May 16 and 17) from 1 to 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served for the opening on Friday, May 8. May 14 will be the Minigrant Showcase and WHAF Awards will be announced (art show awards and scholarships). The annual Alumni Cabaret will be held at 7:30 p.m. on May 16 at the Braddock Carnegie Library Music Hall followed by a reception at the art show.

April 30, 2009: Red Carpet Gala
The second-annual WHSD Foundation Red Carpet Gala will be held on Thursday, April 30, prior to the 8 p.m. showing of the Woodland Hills High School production of The Wizard of Oz. The Red Carpet Gala will feature a pre-show reception at D'Imperio's Restaurant, located in Wilkins Township at 3412 William Penn Hwy. Gala attendants also receive V.I.P. seating for The Wizard of Oz as well as reserved parking at the show. Tickets for the Gala are $30 a person or $50 for two tickets. Woodland Hills School District Calendar
 
Oct. 21, 2008: Woodland Hills High School Mock Presidential Debate
12:30 p.m. at the WHHS Auditorium. A mock presidential debate will be held at the Woodland Hills High School on Tuesday, Oct. 21, as part of the Mini Grant Project "2008 Mock Presidential Debate and Election." The multidisciplinary project was designed to enhance a student's knowledge of the key issues that the two major presidential candidates will focus on in the 2008 presidential election. Students from both the regular education and Gifted programs will be involved. The project also will involve cooperation from the Gifted department, all social studies instructors as well as the audio-visual television production staff. "The 2008 Mock Presidential Debate and Election" project was fundedby a WHAF 2007-08 Mini Grant awarded to high school teachers Ms. Heather Nyapas, Ms. Peggy Seifert, Dr. Pamela Allen and retired teacher Mr. Richard Stanczak.
